Multi Cheerios Knusper-Müsli from Nestlé have been around for a while, or so the internet would suggest. I, however, hadn’t seen them in either of my local supermarkets until recently. Were they worth the wait?
Though I bought this at the same time as the Lion Granola, I have to admit the little packet languished in my review cupboard for longer than it should have. I hadn’t forgotten about it, but I was too busy finishing off all the other open boxes of things! Admittedly, I could barely put the box of Fitness with Fruits down.
I’m feeling in the mood for a Google Translate:
If you’re really crisp, the NESTLÉ MULTI CHEERIOS Knusper-Müsli will impress you! Crispy oat flakes, together with the popular Cheerios “O’s” from 5 grain varieties, make for an incredibly delicious crispy experience – perfect for family breakfasts. | Nestlé
Now, I like crunchy cereals. I like granola. I like Cheerios. You’d think I’d like this breakfast cereal… but I don’t. Oh dear.
Things didn’t get off to a great start – just where are the clusters? I got granola gravel instead. Yes, the total amount of clusters are sitting on top in this picture.
Whether it was a poor batch I couldn’t say, but this was quite firm to chew. Borderline hard, even. And not the kind that’s a pleasure to chew through, but the sort where you wonder whether it’s really supposed to be this difficult to eat.
The flavour was sweet and fairly generic in flavour, with a sugary grains vibe. There was the occasional recognition of Cheerio-iness, but I’d much rather just have a bowl of Cheerios than this.
I felt distinctly “meh” about the whole experience and was glad I only had the trial pack (two bowls) to get through. I’d enjoyed the other Knusper-Müsli so much more – it’s a bit of a shame really!
