This is one interesting looking KitKat – and I happen to think it’d be a hit in the UK. Read on for a bit more on this Milk Tea KitKat Duo…
This one was (again) brought back for me as gift, so I’m afraid you’ll probably just have to look at it and wish you could have one.
If you’re planning a holiday, do make sure to put this treat on your shopping list.
Peeling back the wrapper and this thing properly surprised me. It really does smell like a British cup of tea!
And when I say British I don’t mean British tea leaves, that’d be daft. I mean the way we generally prefer to enjoy our tea in this country; black tea with milk.
Taking a bite and… it’s spot on. It tastes like a cup of tea, translated into a confectionery format. To me it tasted like tea without milk, with that slightly bitter, leafy taste like you get on the aroma when making a brew. There’s a bit of creamyness in the aftertaste that nudges it towards being a “milk tea”.
The milk chocolate base adds a super subtle note to the background of the tea flavouring. I thought it added a bit of balance and sweetness, though definitely takes a backseat to the tea flavour.
Both the other half and I really enjoyed this one. He’s so lucky I shared it, because it’s really very good! Unfortunately unless you’ve got a holiday planned, your best bet at finding these will probably be on Google.
It’s apparently available in a good handful of Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.
