Today on the blog… it’s this White Peach KitKat from Japan!
Peaches in Japan are a true delicacy and this Kit Kat White Peach is made with real peach juice and the wonderfully fruity chocolate combined with the crunchy wafer biscuit texture makes for an irresistible combination!
I actually really like the cute little gift box for these KitKats. It makes them seem a little bit special and if you’ve got a friend that loves getting random interesting snacks as gifts, it seems that much more presentable.
Now then, the KitKat itself. Of course it’s small (in the region of 11g and 5cm long), it’s a Japanese KitKat. But this is a strange (and kinda great) KitKat, but it’s a little bit bizarre at the same time.
It smells like Haribo Peaches.
It tastes like Haribo Peaches.
I’m at a loss for how else to describe it.
Just swap the fizzy sugar coating on the Haribo gummy for a cream flavoured, soft and sweet chocolate coating – boom, you’re there.
As with lots of these little bars, it took my brain a couple of bites to wrap itself around the experience. I did decide it was a nice KitKat though… And it’s also a strange one, because it reminds me strongly of a lip balm pot I had from the Body Shop as a kid.
Really I’m not overly sure what’s happening here – but if you like Haribo Peaches, you’ll probably love this one.
