✅ Review: Fudge Brownie M&M’s from Mars

November 26, 2023 by Linda Leave a Comment

These Fudge Brownie M&M’s from Mars are new – and I found them in Target!

Experience everything you love about homemade brownies without even turning on the oven! Introducing M&M’S Fudge Brownie Chocolate Candies. These innovative treats have delightful notes of freshly baked brownies in a fudgy, chewy center, no baking necessary.

M&M’s in the UK are pretty dull. They receive next to no love from Mars generally – yet you’ll find various seasonal and limited edition flavours in Australia and America.

The newest release in the USA comes in the form of Fudge Brownie. Now I had some reservations that this flavour would work for me… but I was so wrong. These are great!

To start with they’re chunky, fat, sizeable M&M’s. I thought Mars might have used the same technology they’d created with the Caramel filled M&M’s to make these – which made me wonder if they’d just flavoured some caramel and called it a day.

Good news – they haven’t! I actually had a bag of Caramel ones at the same time, so I could do a texture comparison. They’re not the same!

Crunch in past the sugar shell and there’s a hit of brownie-like cocoa. I’m not sure how they’ve managed it, but the flavour here is more than just a basic ‘chocolate’ flavour – there’s a genuine brownie taste. I personally think the brownie-ness of it all comes out most strongly in the first couple. Though the flavour weakens a little the more you eat, the brownie-vibe doesn’t entirely disappear.

The texture of the filling is soft, chewable and almost-caramel, but it doesn’t have the long lasting chewiness of standard Caramel M&M’s.

I feel like it goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway – these are super sweet. A small handful easily satisfies in terms of a sugar hit, but then I always find M&M’s hard to put down.

I genuinely like these. Thumbs up!
