Caramel Macchiato Pejoy from Glico: Biscuit sticks filled with an artificially flavoured caramel macchiato cream.
Indulge yourself with a perfect combination of “delicate taste of coffee” and “sweet scent of caramel” in Pejoy biscuit sticks.
Ingredients: Wheat flour, sugar, blend of vegetable oils, whole milk powder, lactose, vegetable shortening, malt extract, salt, leavening, cocoa powder, soy lecithin, artificial flavors, coffee powder, beta-carotene color.
Opening the pack and going for the sniff test (yes, yes I still do that) these things smell just like a caramel coffee you’d get from Starbucks. It smells like a caramel syrup with a milk heavy coffee.
The breadstick style outer is crunchy, light, neutral in flavour and doesn’t seem greasy to the touch. It’s not over dry or brittle, so you can snap them in half without them crumbling apart.
The sticks are filled with a gentle, caramel accented, milky and mild coffee cream. That’s not to say the flavour isn’t there – it is. It’s just there’s no coffee bitterness or overtly roasted flavours.
These are really addictive with a great texture and a pleasing contrast between the soft cream and crunchy stick. I’d happily pick these up again. Thumbs up!
