Expertly crafted by Neuhaus’ master chocolatiers, this chocolate bar is a luxuriously rich sweet treat for yourself or a loved one. Gently unwrap to reveal the sumptuous scent of the finest melt-in-your mouth milk chocolate filled with creamy almond praline.
Ingredients: Sugar, almonds, whole milk powder, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, coconut fat, shea butter, sunflower oil, emulsifier: soy lecithins; flavours, caramelised sugar.
As with the other Neuhaus bars I’ve tried, this comes in a very sturdy, premium-feel box. The chocolate is wrapped in a thick wrapper which again has a luxury quality. This is a very giftable bar of chocolate.
The Neuhaus milk chocolate is thick and rich, with a smooth, silky melt and a lovely cocoa flavour at the end.
It’s not a super high percentage cocoa, so if you’re anti-dark chocolate you’ll be fine. This is a delicious milk chocolate, with an almost Lindt-like quality in the thick melt. I don’t find it as cloying as Lindt, so I do prefer Neuhaus in terms of texture.
At the heart of the bar is a soft, rich centre filled with crunchy nutty and sugary bits. You can tell with the texture in the crunch that there’s bits of caramelised sugar in here, like you’d find on top of a crème brûlée.
There’s actually an obvious caramel flavour to the sugar too. One; I think it’s delicious in terms of taste. Two; this bar reminds me of sugar roasted almonds.
In terms of overall flavour then, there’s absolutely no shortage of almondy nuttyness going on. This bar is absolutely packed with flavour and the nuts aren’t shy at all.
To sum up, this is a delicious bar of chocolate. It’s sweet, rich, creamy and packed with flavour. There’s a good hit of almond, coupled with a caramel sweetness of crispy sugar pieces and offset by a nice touch of cocoa in the finish.
Overall then, this is a very tasty, well rounded bar of chocolate. You’ll get zero complaints from me!
